I figured it was about time I added a classic black dress to my colourful wardrobe. The little black dress is a must have and we have been taught this for years. It is one trend that will not go away and I ain’t mad at that!

This LBD is from DressLily which is a Chinese website and one that I would have been weary to order from because such websites have a reputation of having poor quality clothes, which wouldn’t be surprising because of their prices. It was sent to me for free and I wasn’t obliged to post it on my blog but I actually love it and I figured why not share it with you guys! This dress costs just under €20.00 and it took less than 5 days to ship out. It’s in a size 2XL. I am usually a size L/XL but when it comes to ordering from Chinese websites, many have advised that it’s best to go a size or two up because their sizes tend to run very small especially if the material is not stretchy. This dress has a pretty good stretch and I would have gotten away with just the XL but it was better to be safe than sorry. It is not a bodycon dress which makes it modest and appropriate  for most occasions, from date night to a church service. I paired it with lace up heels from Primark/Penneys (€7 on sale) because the lace up mimics the cut outs of the dress along the neckline.

Black doesn’t have to be boring and I love the cut outs combined with the popular bardot style in the sleeves.
