In my last post I promised you a date-night summer outfit and here it is! You know I love a good bargain and one thing I was looking out for was definitely the summer sales where you can get things on such a huge discount. I’m talking as much 70% off the original price!

I love New Look and one of my fellow curvy models, whose blog you can see here, posted on her Facebook about the summer sales in New Look and when they were starting so I was able to get in there early and not miss out on the good stuff (LOL!). Anyway one of the things I picked up was this skater dress for just €14.99.

Skater dresses are so cute and flirty which makes them perfect for date night! This white floral print strappy skater dress has a very subtle floral print. The print works for me because I am trying to add print and patterns to my wardrobe and this is not too bold and if you are like me, it eases you into the world of bold prints!

Dresses like this are great for us curvy girls because you don’t need to wear shape wear that can end up being a little uncomfortable after a while. You can even eat to your heart’s content in this dress without worrying about showing that post-dinner food-baby-bump.

The dress is definitely on the “mini” side but nothing a pair of tights can’t fix if you don’t want to show your bare legs. Tights fix everything! I paired the skater dress with Khaki and Red colours that can be seen throughout the floral print itself so if you ever need to accessorise a print or pattern dress, use the colours hinted throughout the print or pattern.

The waterfall blazer from H&M ties in right at the waist and brings the whole look together perfectly. The Khaki shoes are also from New Look and the red over the shoulder bag is from Tesco’s F&F clothing line. Yes. I said Tesco. Because I got this whole look during the summer sales, all the pieces are out of stock but below are some links of similar pieces.
