It is majorly impressive when your boyfriend decides to go shopping, not with you but FOR you! Even though he didn’t have to leave the comfort of his own home to do so because he did it online, he still gets major brownie points.

Okay let me elaborate. Shopping together is not new for us but him buying clothes for me, completely unsupervised with no prior hints, has never happened. When he handed me the Missguided package telling me that he bought something for me I actually laughed out loud and thought to myself “Oh gosh this is going to be a disaster and I am going to have to pretend to like whatever this is!”. No joke. But to my surprise I actually loved this dress!

I wore this dress to yet another wedding this past weekend and I am so glad I had this little number in my wardrobe for a simple and effortless look. It is a size 16 UK/IRL and because it’s stretchy, it is a perfect and comfortable fit.

Based on my previous blogs, you know how I love a good slit on my maxi dresses! My boyfriend clearly pays attention and more brownie points to him for that! The slinky mauve cowl back dress has a side slit that goes halfway down your thigh so you can still wear your shape-wear underneath without worrying that they will show.

Even though it is still summer, covering up with something lightweight was necessary especially for the church ceremony. I bought this off-white cape in Primark/Penneys and, get this, it was only €7! I bought it two weeks ago during their summer sales so you could try your luck and see if they still have it in stores. I am wearing it in a size 14 UK/IRL.

As per usual, my accessories are always minimal. The necklace is from Primark/Penneys at €5 normal price. The bag is from New Look and it is unfortunately sold out. It retailed at €35 but I bought it from a friend who was having a wardrobe sale and seeing as it was unused with tags still attached, I got it for €30. The shoes are still available in New Look for just under €15 on sale here.

This was my last wedding of the summer and it was a beautiful wedding with beautiful people! Look out for my next post featuring a date night look for a well deserved dinner date with himself!
