I think I am getting into the swing of this online shopping thing. Exhibit A being this gorgeous Sherri Neckline Maxi Dress in Pink or Blush (as I would like to call it).

I got it from iClothing which is a gem of an online shop that I found whilst hunting for the perfect summer wedding guest dress for one of the most beautiful weddings I had the honour of attending last weekend. When you are a wedding guest, they are a few unwritten rules you must adhere to. The most important one being to never wear white. Seeing as I absolutely love white and as mentioned in my previous blogs, I am trying to inject some colour into my wardrobe, I was excited to explore more colours.

This colour, for those that are hesitant to jump right into the bold bright colours, is a perfect way to start. It is a pastel pink colour, blush, and it will suit many skin tones. It is a long maxi dress so it’s great for tall girls like me. Being 5 ft 10, it was the perfect length for me. It is very much a bodycon with no zips but it has loads of stretch so super easy to pull on. I am a UK 16 but the dress is a UK 14, so that gives you an idea of how stretchy it is.

I have to say I love me a long slit but initially when I received the dress (less than 24 hrs from when I purchased it which was a lovely surprise!), the slit was a little too long so I had my tailor close about 4 inches of it to make it a little more modest.

I paired the dress, which is available here, with nude accessories, the bag is from Primark and I got the chunky neck piece from a friend’s recent visit to USA (thanks Hadja!).

The shoes are just comfortable mauve heeled sandals from New Look that tied in well with the lip colour I chose to wear. Comfortable shoes are a must for wedding guests because its a long day and you don’t want to lose the fight and end up in flats before the bride even walks down the aisle!
