LASheyChanel Launch Party

We all know how I love supporting my fellow Zimbabweans in their endeavors so when I received an invitation to the launch of LASheyChanel, I had to come  out and support.

A Little Background…

LASheychanel started off as a fashion stylist, keen on providing women and men a platform  to express themselves through fashion with a little help from Shey a.k.a LASheyChael. As do most stylists, she evolved into a designer and after seeing her new exclusive pieces this weekend, she is a damn good one!

Launch Party

The event was hosted in a beautiful intimate space in The Faversham, Leeds. Guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and canapés courtesy of Dating A Chef. What I loved about the evening was the fact that there was plenty of homegrown talent. We were entertained by artists including STAN and Mirabel Ukpabio. The DJ on the evening, DJ Sombodi, literally had me dancing in my seat.

Pictured above is Natasha Wainaina who was the MC of the event, wearing LASheyChanel designs.

The Fashion Show

The first part of the show featured some fashion styled by LASheyChanel. There were plenty of looks featured in the show but here are some of my favourites! I love that she doesn’t exclusively style women but also men too.

I am in love with these exclusive pieces designed by LASheyChanel. I managed to corner some of the models backstage to give you guys a closer  look.

I really loved the patterned dress and I am definitely looking to purchase it. You can get these pieces and more on the website. Just click here.

The gorgeous lady in red (which is another one of her designs) is the mastermind behind LASheyChanel. She was feeling a little under the weather but regardless, she was such a gracious host.

Last But Not Least…

This being a plus-size blog, I had to feature some curvy ladies who were also guests on the night and their outfits caught my eye. From jumpsuits to bright pastels and capes, the ladies pictured below killed it.

Keep an eye out for my next post about what my own curvy self wore to the fashion launch party!

Peace and Love.
